P3 - LO2 - Contingency Plans

  

Original Plan	Possible Problems	Solutions
Film ident 1	Weather conditions and cat actor may not be great. The actor`s mood may be off on the day.	Check on the weather beforehand to see how filming may turn out like. I need to take extra precaution with my actor as it is an animal. I must make sure he is well enough to interact closely with.
Film ident 2	The actors` may not be able to film the ident on the scheduled day.	Communicate with the actors a day before the filming day, to confirm that there will be no problems with filming on the location and timing.
Film with the camera	The camera can break or need charging.	Have a spare good quality phone to film.
Recording on an SD card	The SD can be lost or damaged.	Store the SD card in a  safe, memorable place. Bring a spare SD card.
Recording in a busy area	Equipment might get stolen. Too many people means many permission slips.	Film at different peak times with less people around.
Editing on an IMac	IMacs can glitch.	Make sure to bring a spare computer device to edit.

P3 - LO2 - Activities and Launch Date

Buying props: Cat treats, torch, cardboard, wooden sticks, coloured material		Pre-launch date for ident 1 & 2: Friday 17th November 2023 The reason why I chose this date for the pre-launch is because the idents are going to be drafts by then; so to be able to progress forward they must be reviewed by an audience to see what improvements shall be made before the actual launch date.
Transporting the camera and tripod in the car/by walk to the houses.		Launch date for ident 1 & 2: Friday 1st December 2023 The reason for this specific day to be chosen as the launch date is that the idents can be used anytime as there is no specific seasonal feature. They will be aired with the first in the afternoon, and second in the evening.

CALL SHEETS

IDENT 1:

Location: Fajar`s house & garden

Date and time: Will be shot in October/November. It will be shot around 12:00pm - 6:00pm.

Cast: China (cat actor)

Crew: Fajar Nehmat, Layla Neild, Harleen Chana 

Props: Cat treats, cardboard letter cut-out

Reminders: The type of actor I`m dealing with is an animal, so I shall take precautions on how to deal with cats; and take care of him well, whilst capturing the best quality scenes. I must ensure that the I have all the equipment and props ready to be used, and make sure I have my: camera, tripod, SD card, and props. I will also shoot scenes multiple times, to guarantee potential, good quality scenes when editing.

IDENT 2:

Location: My cousins` house

Date and time: Will be shot in October/November. This will be shot from around 6:00pm - 8:00pm.

Cast: Haris (Child actor 1), Mishal (Child actor 2)

Crew: Fajar Nehmat

Props: Torch, handmade shadow puppet sticks

Reminders: As they are not professional child actors, I must take good care of the children, and make sure to cater to any concerns or needs. I must ensure that the I have all the equipment and props ready to be used, and make sure I have my: camera, tripod, SD card, and props. I will also shoot scenes multiple times, to guarantee potential, good quality scenes when editing.
